I'm delighted to have been elected a member of the New English Art Club, where I have been showing work since 2004. The NEAC was founded in 1886, as a rival to the Royal Academy. Past members have included major artists such as John Singer Sargeant, Walter Sickert, Augustus John and Stanley Spencer, among many others. There is currently a strong teaching tradition in the NEAC, which I think is really important, and I'm really looking forward to becoming involved with the Club.
Until 12th May, I have work in the "Works on Paper" exhibition at Cadogan Contemporary - a really interesting show with a range of sketchbook drawings, studies, paintings and collages from gallery artists.
