Most of my time is now spent walking and drawing in preparation for painting, working in the studio, or organising work for exhibitions and galleries. I draw inspiration from sites which seem to me to have a particular significance and sense of place: looking over the Weald, the coast in Kent, St Ives or the amazing beaches in Norfolk, the spectacular views from the South Downs, ancient hill forts in Wiltshire, looking down into London from Hampstead Heath, or the Thames as it leaves London.
